'Is Nowhere Safe?'

:icontheexquisitecorpse: EC with Rodney ~8025glome Rodney did the top, sent it to me ... I did the bottom! Go tell him how good he is :-) [link]

Wow!!! I'm convinced that some telepathic morphic field travels through the post with these ECs ... how could we both have followed the same theme otherwise??? Predation ... very nasty!

Those poor little cute fish! I'm sure Rodney did the bird just for me :D Squeeeee

Ah!
Oops!...
Was so captivated by the work itself, that I didn't realise that the styletwist halfway was caused by a cooperation!!!
Good work!
Thanx to both of you.

This is so odd because it looks like it should be full of movement, but at the same time it looks completely still, like frozen in time. It's beautiful...

Rodney ~8025glome did a fantastic job on the top half and left me a few fish that were just too cute ... so obviously they had to be ripped apart ... I'm amazed at how well it worked out!

I could see Rodney's ~8025glome fish which looked so cute that I just had to get the denizens of the deep to rip them apart!

This is a really mesmerizing piece. In general, I like staring fish-eyes in surrealistic art - it adds up to the strangeness and distance to the world it depicts, while at the same time making it feel somehow natural. Now there's a lot of staring eyes in this one. :XD: And strange shapes of the underwater world all next to each other... I'm amazed how you've managed to co-operate with such synergy, I didn't realize it was made by two people before I read the comments. Good work!

Thank you for this great comment!

I too was amazed when I took the cover off to reveal ~8025glome' s side ... the way the co-incidences appear like telepathy is quite astonishing. There are more examples of this game at #TheExquisiteCorpse :-)

You're welcome. :) Uhh, how exactly did you carry out the co-operation? Still sounds a bit obscure to me. :)

Each artist starts one half and when done, covers the drawing apart from a one inch strip and then posts it (snailmail) to the collaboraing artist who completes it without looking underneath the cover ... then at the end, the cover is removed and the whole drawing is revealed for the first time. The revealing is my favourite part, it is such a buzz! More info here [link]

Ohh, now I see. Considering also that there's a small strip visible for you to connect to, the story sounds quite believable - but still amazing. :D Your styles blend together perfectly and the composition looks great. I find this kind of co-operation a really interesting idea, I checked out the club too. Thanks!
